Court clears way for Ezekiel Elliott suspension

(WTNH) — It was delayed by a court fight, but on Thursday, the six-game suspension of Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliot can finally get underway.

On Thursday, a federal appeals court cleared the way for the NFL to hit Elliott with a six game suspension over allegations of domestic violence.

Elliott’s lawyers say the case may not be done yet and that more appeals could be coming.

The Cowboys have a bye this weekend, but if there are no more appeals, Elliott won’t be back on the field until Nov. 30.
