‘Day of Joy’ makes kids feel like superheroes at Connecticut Childrens’ Medical Center

(WTNH)–The “Joy in Childhood” Foundation celebrated its “Day of Joy” at Connecticut Childrens’ Medical Center on Thursday. Hockey players visited the patients, and kids were given ‘brave’ gowns, a lot like superheroes’.

The gowns are inspired by the courage and bravery of pediatric patients.

“They are dressed up in these colorful brave gowns to make them feel like the real superheroes of the day,” said Molly Loh.

Patients also painted as part of the day. Dunkin’ Donuts runs the ‘Joy in Childhood’ Foundation, which provides simple joys to kids facing major health challenges.

You can donate to the foundation at Dunkin’ Donuts locations across Connecticut.
