Halloween Chocolate Cake

(WTNH)- Pastry chefs Jessi Vitti and Krissy Schule from Sweet Lisa’s Exquisite Cakes make a fun Halloween witch cake.

Sweet Lisa’s Chocolate Cake Recipe

8 oz butter

16 oz water

In saucepan, bring to boil, turn off and add:

8 oz unsweetened chocolate

Set aside to melt.

In mixer bowl:

27 oz sugar

In separate bowl:

14 oz flour

1 T. Baking soda

¾ t. Baking powder

½ t. salt

In separate bowl:

4 eggs

1 cup sour cream


Pour chocolate mixture into sugar, stir until combined.  Place in mixer and mix on low speed.  Add half the dry ingredients, all the liquids and rest of the dry ingredients.

Scrape and mix well.

Pour into greased pans., bake 350’ 25-30 min.
