In The Bender Kitchen: Chef Josh Tanner from New York Prime Beef cooks up Wagyu steak and potatoes

Prime NY Wagyu Steak with Roasted Rosemary Potatoes

New York Prime Beef

Ingredients:

  • 1 16oz. American Wagyu strip
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Cracked Black Pepper
  • Idaho Potatoes
  • Rosemary
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Cast Iron Pan

Roasted Rosemary Potatoes Preparation:

  1. Peel and dry potatoes
  2. Season potatoes with salt and pepper
  3. Prepare oven to 375 degrees
  4. Bake potatoes for 45 minutes to 1 hour
  5. Oil bottom of pan and add sprigs of rosemary

Prime NY Wagyu Steak Preparation:

  1. Make sure steak is brought to room temperature
  2. Heat cast iron pan, add olive oil until sizzles
  3. Season steak with salt and pepper
  4. Add to pan and sear for four minutes each side for medium rare
  5. Let cooked steak cool for 20 minutes for all the juices to flow back into steak
