The Animal Haven is a private no-kill shelter for dogs & cats in North Haven. They have served the Greater New Haven community since 1948. We provide temporary care for homeless, adoptable pets. We advocate responsible pet ownership and follow a mandatory spay-neuter policy. The Animal Haven is non-profit and operates solely on grants, donations and our fundraising efforts.
Walk-A-Dog-Athon is the Animal Haven’s primary fundraising event each year. The goal of this event is to raise the much needed funds for the shelter’s operating and veterinary expenses. Their volunteers and staff work hard every day to provide homeless, sick, and mistreated pets with a fresh start, nutrition, medical attention and the love they need. Proceeds from this event will help The Animal Haven save the lives of over 300 homeless pets this year.
