Waterbury fundraiser creates quilts for cancer patients

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A fundraiser in Waterbury is doing a lot of good.

“Quilts That Care” held its fifth annual fundraiser on Thursday evening.

The event was hosted by News 8’s own Ryan Kristafer.

The organization has made more than 2,000 custom quilts for cancer patients in Connecticut.

All of the proceeds from the fundraiser allow the organization to continue making those special quilts.

The event had a wonderful turnout, with hundreds of folks coming out to support this great cause.
