WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — A West Haven woman is still shaken hours after thieves viciously attacked her family in their home.
The victim, who doesn’t want to be identified, said three gunmen forced their way in the home and knocked her father to the ground as he was opening the door.
“When my dad entered the home the three gentlemen pushed him into my hallway, pushed him into the house,” she said.
The home invasion happened around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday on Alling street. The victim said her elderly mother and father, aunt and uncle came face-to-face with three armed suspects donning masks.
“They said, ‘just shut up because we are going to rob you so give me all the money and your pocketbook.'”
The armed suspects roughed up her parents. “They pushed my mom. they also pushed my father to the floor.”
One of the suspects violently attacked her uncle. The victim added, “One of them started fighting with my uncle, pushing him. Hitting him a gun and he has five stitches on his head.”
The victim, who was on the second floor says she heard screaming and went to help.
“I immediately went down to check and as I’m going down the stairs I see a gentlemen standing with the mask and the gun and he puts the gun right here on my forehead but I immediately went up the stairs and called 911,” she said.
The brazen attackers pointed guns at the victims threatening them and demanding money. The victim said, “They said if you don’t be quiet and give us your belongings we are going to kill you.”
The victim said she is terrified, telling News 8, “I can just close my eyes and visualize a man with a mask and a gun right in my eyes. it is really scary.” The family doesn’t feel safe living in the neighborhood. The victim added, “If they have the guts attack, three men came into the house and attack our family they could do any crazy thing.”
