(WTNH) — If you want to have a reputation in your neighborhood for giving out “the good candy”, a new report has identified Connecticut’s most popular Halloween treats.
According to a new report from CandyStore.com, Americans will spend roughly $2.7 billion on trick-or-treat candy this year. Connecticut’s favorite has now changed, after Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were the champion over the past two years.

For 2017, the report finds Connecticut’s top three most poular candies are:
- Almond Joy
- Milky Way

CandyStore.com came up with their report by analyzing ten years worth of sales data from their website, with a heightened focus on the months leading up to Halloween. They studied all 50 states as well as Canada. The report found that candy spending has increased by 15-percent over the past two years.
