Crews put out early morning structure fire in Bristol


BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) — Officials are investigating the cause of a large structure fire that broke out early Saturday morning in Bristol.

Bristol Police say they received multiple calls about a fire at 120 Park Street at approximately 1:08 AM. Once on the scene, crews began to battle the large-scale, working structure fire for several hours until it was brought under control.

The fire occurred at the site of the former O’Connell School. The blaze caused extensive damage to the building, but no injuries were reported.

The cause has yet to be determined. The Bristol Fire Marshal and Police are investigating, and are asking anyone with information to call Bristol Police at 860-584-3000.
