Author Mark Allen Baker talks about his new book, “Connecticut in World War II”

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — During World War II, Connecticut was transformed into a fighting machine. The book, “Connecticut in World War II” tells the story of how we accomplished the task.

The author Mark Allen Baker focuses on the homefront; on what the civilian population was doing while our armed forces were engaged in war abroad.

There are more than 200 pictures that provides an eye-witness account to life here in Connecticut during World War II.
