HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)–An arrest has been made in connection with what police called “a brazen daytime gun battle” inside a barber shop in Hartford back in June.

31-year-old Edgardo Montanez, of Annawan Street in Hartford, turned himself in on Monday after police determined he and Hector Rios-Pabon, who was arrested back in August, had exchanged gunfire inside of the Best Barber Shop on Park Street back in June.

Police found six .380 caliber shell casings on the scene, and extensive damage was done to the barber shop.

Montanez was charged with first-degree attempted assault, criminal possession of a firearm, and unlawful discharge of a firearm, among other charges.

He is being held on $450,000 bond.
