Police say on October 13th, Norwich detectives assisted the FBI in Operation Cross Country XI, which is the FBI’s nationwide initiative targeted at identifying and locating underage victims who are forced to engage in prostitution.
According to police, the operation was conducted by officers who went undercover and answered advertisements for prostitution which were posted by the offenders on various websites.
As a result, police arrested 21-year-old Passion Adams, of New Haven; 24-year-old Ashley Harnois, of Rhode Island; 23-year-old Nicole Larosa, of Ledyard; and 21-year-old Tamara Dean, of Rhode Island, for prostitution.
Jerome Taylor, 27, of New London was charged with promoting prostitution and interfering with an officer.
All five of them were each held on $5,000 bond and will appear in court on October 26th.
