(WTNH)- The Connecticut Experiential Learning Center (CELC) is a small school located in Branford, that offers an alternative education option for middle school-aged students in grades 5-8. As the name suggests, the focus is on hands-on, experiential learning, but the students also receive rigorous academic instruction. In fact, CELC graduates have always gotten into the high school of their choice and gone on to a successful college career.
The school is co-hosting a free screening of the Sundance award-winning film “Most Likely to Succeed,” which explores compelling new approaches that aim to revolutionize teaching as we know it. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion next Thursday evening (11/19) at the Guilford Library.
The school is also holding an open house at the school, 28 School Street, Branford, from 11am-5pm on Sunday 11/22.
