(WTNH)–Thousands of dollars in federal funding are now available for clean diesel projects in Connecticut.
According to the state’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, $183,000 in funding will go to towns, cities, businesses and organizations who want to replace large, older diesel engines with electric or newer, cleaner-burning engines.
The new technology can reduce air pollution by as much as 80 percent.
Grant applications are due by November 14.
