Sens. Blumenthal, Murphy introduce ‘Protect Access to Birth Control Act’

(WTNH)–Senator Richard Blumenthal joined Senator Chris Murphy and 33 others in Congress to introduce the “Protect Access to Birth Control Act.” The legislation would rescind the Trump Administration rule that allows companies to interfere with employees’ reproductive health decisions, and forces women to pay more for birth control.

“The Affordable Care Act helped over 756,000 women in Connecticut, and millions more across the country to afford birth control,” Murphy said in a statement on Friday. “We want to do everything we can to stop President Trump’s latest effort to sabotage women’s healthcare.”
