Capitol Report: Mark Davis discusses budget deal

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The state budget proposal was made through compromise behind closed doors without the Governor’s involvement.

Despite Governor Dannel Malloy making his own proposal earlier in the week, party leaders worked on their own to come up with a bipartisan effort to end the state’s streak without a budget in place.

News 8’s Chief Capitol Correspondent Mark Davis stopped by the show to discuss his thoughts on the proposal and if a deal is finally nearing for the state.
