Milford business helping others with free sandwiches

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A sign hanging from a Milford business is starting to get a lot of attention these days.

The gesture is proof that there is a lot of good in this world, you just have to find it.

The sign reads,” If you don’t have money come in and grab a sandwich free.”

“That’s why I put the sign,” explained Flames Mediterranean and American Grill owner Walied Hanaif. “Not for them to be hesitant. Just to come in, ask for food, a sandwich or whatever and I be happy to give it to them.”

He put the sign up less than two weeks ago as a gesture to anyone out there who’s fallen on hard times and can use some help.
