New Haven police investigating stabbing


NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating the scene of a stabbing in New Haven Sunday night.

Police say at 8:06 p.m., officers were dispatched to Valley Street in regards to an assault, stabbing incident.

Officials say the victim, 31-year-old Stephanie Bealle, was stabbed by a bald black man. They say he may have been operating a dark colored Toyota Tundra.

According to authorities, Bealle was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where she is in serious, but not life threatening condition.

New Haven Police say detectives are on the scene.
