Pedestrian injured after being hit by a car in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) —  Police are investigating after a man was struck by a car in New Haven Sunday evening.

According to authorities, officers and emergency medical crews responded to Whalley Avenue at Ella T. Grasso Boulevard at 8:29 p.m. to investigate the scene of a pedestrian struck by a car.

Police say 31-year-old Andrew Davis of New Haven was struck by a car and is being treated at a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. They say the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with police investigation and remained at the scene.

Authorities say charges are unknown at this time.
