1 dead, another injured after double stabbing in New London

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — New London Police are investigating after two people were stabbed, one fatally, in the city on Tuesday night.

Police say at around 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the second floor of 49 Blackhall Street, after receiving a 911 call. Upon arrival, police found that two men had been stabbed.

Both victims were taken to L&M Hospital for treatment but 33-year-old Raheeim General, of New London, died from from his injuries.

The other victim, 46-year-old Metese Hinds, of New London, sustained non-life threatening injuries. He was then arrested at the hospital for a non-related warrant for violation of protective order. Hinds was held on a $10,000 bond.
