New Haven to welcome 2017 Holiday Tree Friday

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven will become a little more festive on Friday!

City officials will be joined by sponsors, representatives of community groups and others on Friday to welcome the newly harvested holiday tree to the New Haven Green.

The ceremony will take place at 12 noon on the Lower Green across from Church Street and City Hall.

A tree-lighting is scheduled to take place on Nov. 30.
