Woman dies in Glastonbury car crash

GLASTONBURY, Conn. (WTNH)–A Massachusetts woman has died in a car crash on Route 17 in Glastonbury on Friday morning.

Nancy Woodworth, 76, of Dennis, Mass., was pronounced dead at the scene.

State Police said that Woodworth was driving when her car, a Buick Verano, collided head-on with an Acura MDX driven by 42-year-old Cuong Kim Tran of Springfield, Mass. around 10:40 a.m. Friday. The accident closed Route 17 between Hubbard Road and Main Street.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

Roads have been re-opened. Any witnesses to this collision are asked to contact Troop H at 860-534-1000.
