Norwalk Police investigating early morning shooting

NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — Norwalk Police are investigating a shooting that took place early Saturday morning.

According to police reports, officers on patrol were flagged down by an employee of Market Bistro and Bar at 64 Wall Street at approximately 2:04 AM. The employee had stated a female had been shot inside the bar. At the scene they found a 28 year old female suffering from a single gunshot wound to the torso.  It was determined from witnesses that the suspect had fled the scene.

The victim was transported to Norwalk Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Norwalk Detectives are currently investigating the scene and ask anyone with information to contact them at 203-854-3011.
