Newtown School District website hacked

NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — The website for the Newtown School District was hacked on Monday morning.

According to officials, ISIS-type propaganda was seen on the site while it was hacked.

Newtown was apparently one of multiple districts impacted by the hack.

The website is currently down while local and federal authorities investigate the cyber crime.

School officials say there is no immediate threat and that all students and staff are safe.
