Quinnipiac University assists veterans looking to go back to college

(WTNH) — News 8 sat down with the Director of Veteran and Military Affairs at Qunnipiac University, Jason Burke, to talk about how they are helping veterans get the grade.

U.S. News & World Report has ranked Quinnipiac University tops in the state and fifth in the North in the “Best Colleges for Veterans” category.

Burke says the University serves their student veterans with a holistic approach, so they can focus on their studies. To cater to student vets, Quinnipiac is reducing administrative issues, waiving certain fees, and providing on campus counseling.

The university is also supplying a veterans’ lounge to give those students a place to feel calm and relax.
