2 K-9 officers receive protective vests

(WTNH) — Thanks to some donations, two K-9 officers will be extra safe while protecting the community.

K-9 Ugo and K-9 Texas each received a bullet and stab protective vest.

The vests came from the non-profit organization, Vested Interest in K9s.

Ugo’s vest is sponsored by Curtiss Ryan Honda of Shelton and Texas’s vest is sponsored by a fundraiser hosted by Beacon Valley Animal Hospital in Naugatuck.
