(WTNH) — A lawsuit Bristol native and former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez filed over hacked jailhouse phone calls has been thrown out.

The former NFL star filed the lawsuit last year against a prison tech company that records inmate phone calls. The lawsuit claimed someone got into that company’s database and accessed those calls.

The judge ruled, as an inmate, Hernandez had no expectation of privacy.

Hernandez killed himself in April while serving a life sentence for murder.
