Police, fire crews searching for “emotionally disturbed” man in East Rock Park


NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven Police are searching for an “emotionally disturbed” man on Wednesday night.

According to police, the 34-year-old man ran from his parents and into the woods at the East Rock Park summit.

Police describe the man as white and bald, standing around six feet tall and weighing approximately 240 pounds.

Officials from the New Haven Police Department, the New Haven Fire Department, and the Hamden Police Department are on the scene.

Crews say they will remain on scene until a daylight search can begin again.
