October was warmest on record for most New England states

(WTNH) — Did you find yourself leaving the jacket behind for the majority of October?

You weren’t alone! Most of the New England states followed the same trend this year.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has named this past October the warmest on record here in Connecticut as well as in Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

However, cold weather is quickly approaching, so you might find yourself breaking out the winter coat sooner than you thought!
