Officials release name of teen bicyclist struck by car in West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A West Hartford teen is recovering after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike on Tuesday.

According to police, around 8:50 a.m., Darren Chen was riding his bike on Federal Street. He was then struck by a car that was traveling on Hall Street.

Chen was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The West Hartford Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
