(WTNH)– The best part of the holiday season is buying gifts for the kids. Great to see those young faces light up on Christmas morning! We are stretching your dollar with what the experts say make the best gifts.
Black Friday will be here before you know it and the rush will be on to check items off the wish list. Family lifestyle expert Merideth Sinclair says your money will be better spent if you choose gifts for the kids this year with extendibility.
“So kids can use their imaginations, they can customize the way they want, they’ve got some ownership over that,” said Sinclair. That’s what I look for.”
And she showed us a few examples. For bigger kids, think about something fun and educational. Robotics U allows them to actually make and program their own robot.
For little kids, something like this Vampirina playset. Three-floors of accessories and features that means they’ll want to play with it differently each time.
And here’s another..
“This is from Vtech and it’s the GearZooz’s Roll And Roar Animal Train. It’s got 15 different gears they can mix and match. Great for their motor skills.”
Legos always a great option and fun for parents to join in. And you’ll like this one, avoid stepping on said Legos by making clean-up a part of their play.
“This is so cool for kids 3 and up. This is the real working buddies Mr. Dusty. It’s 3 trucks in one. He literally scoops up all your Legos and puts them right back where they go,” said Sinclair.
Sinclair says this year keep focused on what will keep them entertained and their minds stimulated well past the holiday season. That’s money well spent.
