Rally held for Dreamers and undocumented immigrants on New Haven Green

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)– A rally was held in New Haven Thursday in support of a Clean DREAM Act and protection of Connecticut immigrants.

According to Connecticut Students for a Dream, undocumented youth and families, families of three individuals currently taking sanctuary or facing deportation around the state, and representatives from CT Students for a Dream, CT Immigrants Rights Alliance, Planned Parenthood Votes! CT, ULA, Hispanic Federation, Make The Road CT, Working Families Party, ACLU of CT, SEIU 32 BJ, gathered on the New Haven Green to call for legislation to protect Dreamers before the end of this year.

Those attending the rally demanded an end to deportation and for protection of the thousands in danger of losing Temporary Protected Status.
