Serious crash closes Berlin Turnpike in Wethersfield

WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH)– A serious accident has closed the northbound side of the Berlin Turnpike in Wethersfield on Thursday.

Wethersfield Police says the crash happened on the Berlin Turnpike at Arrow Road. The northbound side of the turnpike is shut down.

According to police, the closure has resulted in a huge backup in both directions of the Berlin Turnpike. Drivers are urged to avoid the area until further notice.

Police have not released any further details regarding the accident. It’s unclear if anyone was hurt.
