(WTNH)– Thanksgiving is two weeks away and once again a lot of stores will give people a chance to shop the turkey off that night. We are stretching your dollar with what some of the deals will look like this year.

It’s a tradition for a lot of families, post turkey dinner to line up in the cold and kick off holiday shopping early. Best Buy is a popular place to start so we got a look at what deals you can expect to see, starting with TVs.

“You’ll be able to get a Sharp 50 inch, 4-k TV for only $180 At Best Buy when we open our stores at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving,” said Kevin Flanagan, Best Buy Blue Shirt.

Whether it’s a gift for yourself or a loved one, this is the best time of year to buy electronics.

Students, if you’ve been holding off on a new laptop, there will be savings there too.

“You can also save up to $250 on select MacBooks. MacBooks, those laptops are essential. It’s not often these go on sale,” said Flanagan.

Expect video games to be marked down and accessories like those wireless headphones.

“You can save $100 on them. They’re wireless, you don’t have to worry about the cords getting tangled up,” said Flanagan.

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, expect to find early steals at competitors as well. If you want to shop earlier than Black Friday, Best Buy says they’re offering some of the savings right now through Saturday.

A bit of advice? Now that you’ve heard some of these deals, look around and see what everyone else is offering. It gives you a head start on the comparison and negotiating process.
