Officials investigate head-on collision in Hamden

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) – A head on collision took place on State Street in Hamden near the North Haven border Sunday morning around 6:30 a.m.

Officials say the Hamden Fire Department and Hamden Police Department were on the scene of the crash.

Firefighters say both drivers were transported to local hospitals. At least one driver required extrication from their vehicle.

It is not known what caused the crash to take place.

The collision remains under investigation.
