New London PD identify victim in fatal stabbing

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — Officials have identified the victim who was fatally stabbed in New London on Sunday.

Police say 27-year-old Travon Brown of New London was the man who was fatally stabbed Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say the incident took place at a home in the area of Grand Street and Elm Street.

Authorities tell News 8 once police located the male victim medical attention was immediately initiated. However, police say he was later transported to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It is not known what provoked the stabbing.

The New London Police Department is asking that anyone with information in regards to this incident to contact the Detective’s Division at 860-447-1481. They also say the public can send anonymous information via the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip plus the information to Tip411 (847411).
