Officials investigating serious crash in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Officials are investigating after a serious crash in the Fair Haven neighborhood of New Haven on Sunday morning.

Authorities say the crash took place around 5 a.m. in the area of Grand Avenue and Haven Street as a car traveled into a telephone pole.

New Haven Police confirmed at least one person suffered serious injuries. It is unclear how many were involved in the collision.

The cause of the crash is not known at this time.

The victim(s) names have not been released.
