WOODBRIDGE, Conn. (WTNH) — Officials are on the scene of a tanker truck crash in Woodbridge late Sunday afternoon.

Officials say a Lexus sedan was also involved in the crash. Authorities tell News 8 that the operator of the car was trapped and was extricated by the Woodbridge Fire Department.
Police say the driver was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment. They say the crash caused the truck to leak oil.
Authorities say DEEP responded to the scene to assist with removing the oil truck. They say state police also responded to help with the investigation.
The road was closed for a period of time, however it has since reopened. Officials say the Department of Transportation is still on scene.
