Destination Location: News 8 Goes to Berlin

BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) — News 8 headed to the geographic center of Connecticut for the Destination Location segment during ‘Good Morning Connecticut’ at 9 a.m. on Wednesday. Bordering New Britain, Newington, Rocky Hill, Middletown, Meriden, Southington and Plainville, residents of this town had a lot to say about what to do and see.

Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy Hatchery Brook Conservation Area, the views from atop Ragged Mountain Memorial Preserve or a visit to Veteran’s Memorial Park. Both Strength in Numbers and Fitness by Design were called-out as places to have a great workout.

Blueberry picking at Hrubiec Farm is a town-favorite during the warmer months. There are plenty of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Berlin. Hundreds of people voiced their opinions on establishments like The Avenue, breakfast at Josie’s Corner, Portofino’s Italian restaurant, the wings at Slider’s Bar and Grill as well as live music Stryker’s Cafe on the Berlin Turnpike.
