Police make arrest for Sunday stabbing in New London

NEW LONDON, Conn. (WTNH) — New London police have arrested a suspect who they say stabbed and killed a man on Sunday.

The suspect, 28-year-old Jerome Hudson, is already in police custody for unrelated charges.

Police say Hudson will now be charged with murder.

According to authorities, 27-year-old Travon Brown of New London was stabbed by Hudson in the area of Grand Street and Elm Street. Brown was given medical attention before he was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

It is not known at this time what provoked the incident.
