1 dead in Killingly after car crashes into tree


KILLINGLY, Conn. (WTNH) — One man has died after a crash in Killingly on Wednesday night.

According to Connecticut State Police, around 11 p.m., a vehicle was traveling west on Route 101 when it traveled off of the roadway and into a tree.

Officials say the operator, 22-year-old Jacob Bowen of Eastford, suffered fatal injuries.

The cause of the crash is not known at this time. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Connecticut State Police.
