Legislative leaders postpone Special Session until Monday

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Because of travel conditions, legislative leaders have decided to postpone Friday’s scheduled Special Session until Monday.

Lawmakers were scheduled to vote Friday on restoring cuts to the Medicare Savings Program.

Senate President Pro tem Martin Looney tells News 8 that many lawmakers say they are unable to make the trip to Hartford Friday because of travel conditions and child care issues with many schools closed.
