(WTNH)– The January nor’easter dominated this week’s Report-It Recap. Our viewers sent in a lot of great shots of the kids and their pets.
We did it, we got through our first major snowstorm of the season. After all, we live in Connecticut – we’re professionals at this by now.
But boy, is there a lot of snow out there. You can see it here on this deck furniture. Many places seeing a foot or more. According to all the rulers and tape measures.
Of course the wind created all these snow drifts, which made measuring not exactly easy.
It sure does look nice though if your Christmas decorations are still up.
Of course, then came the job nobody really likes, the shoveling and the snow blowing.
Three people were supposed to go to Florida. Their flight got canceled so they enjoyed their snow day.
Speaking of which, all the kids go to enjoy a day off from school. Some of them, two days.
The Lopez family made an igloo. How cool is that.
Cooper and Finn made a pallet igloo in Branford.
One guy was keeping warm with the help of a bon fire.
While another three decided to have fun in their hot tub in Clinton.
Our animals made the most of it as well. A bulldog’s face says it all.
The crews at Tweed New Haven Airport were busy clearing the tarmacs and runways.
There is a beauty in it all, if you stop to pay attention.
Finally, there was John in Southington, reinforcing the fact that life is good here in Connecticut.
