Rep. Elliott shared his thoughts about the “power” of “Democratic Town Committees” and the influence they have choosing party candidates.
“…The point of the primary process is to be choosing the best candidates, and this flies directly in the face of that,” Rep. Elliott explained.
Rep. Elliott, who wound up defeating the party-endorsed candidate in 2016, is now “grading” his colleagues.
In an interview with the CT Mirror’s Mark Pazniokas, Rep. Elliott says he wants to help liberal outsiders do in 2018 what he did two years ago.
Connecticut’s Working Families Party, which endorsed Rep. Elliott, is also opposed to some Democrats.
