Capitol Report: Winter weather postpones Special Session

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The New England Patriots arrived at Gillette Stadium last Thursday in the teeth of a nor’easter.

Special teams captain Matthew Slater said of the practice, “I wouldn’t want to be the guy who’s late. Guys understand we need to be there. The expectation is what it is. We live in New England. There’s going to be weather. Give yourself some extra time; as simple as that.”

However, Bill Belichick doesn’t coach the General Assembly which cancelled a Special Session last Friday as roads across the state were generally clear and dry and the storm was somewhere around Newfoundland.

Monday will be the day when lawmakers return to vote on restoring funding to the Medicare Savings Program.
