Broken sprinkler pipe closes Burlington Library

(Burlington Library Facebook)

BURLINGTON, Conn. (WTNH)– The Burlington Library is closed Monday due to weather related issues that damaged the building.

According to the library’s Facebook page, a frozen sprinkler pipe caused some nasty water damage to the building on Sunday.

Librarians say that miraculously only 78 books were lost and that the heat has been repaired.

However, there is still a lot of work to be done repairing the broken pipe and cleaning up the library.

There is no word yet on when the library will reopen.
