Car crash closes Main Street in Willimantic

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. (WTNH) — Police say that a car crash into a utility pole has closed Main Street in Willimantic Tuesday morning.

Just after 5:00 a.m., police responded to an accident on Main Street. Police say that the incident involved a car that crashed into a utility pole and snapped it, causing power outages.

There were minor injuries involved in this crash.

Police have closed Main Street between Columbia Avenue and Wilson Street. They expect this section of Main Street to be closed until 3 p.m. while crews repair the pole.
