Precautionary boil water advisory partially lifted in Coventry

COVENTRY, Conn. (WTNH) — A boil water advisory has been partially lifted for residents in Coventry who utilize the South Coventry Water System.

Connecticut Water chose to partially lift the precautionary boil water advisory after restoring service on Monday evening.

Officials are continuing to monitor the areas which experienced low water pressure.

Customers under this system are still being encouraged to boil any water being used for drinking, cooking, food preparation, or any other purpose that results in tap water being consumed.

Officials collected water samples on Monday and are having them tested in a state-certified laboratory to check for the presence of bacteria.
