Hartford police to hold DUI checkpoint Thursday night

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Hartford police will be looking to crack down on drunk driving on Thursday night.

The Hartford Police Department has announced it will be conducting a DUI enforcement checkpoint from 5 p.m. Thursday until 1 a.m. Friday morning in the area of 100 New Park Avenue.

Officials say the checkpoint is being funded through a grant from the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation DUI Enforcement Program.

Police are reminding drivers to never drink and drive.
