Save the Parade 5K road race held Sunday

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Are you ready to lace up your running shoes?

The Greater New Haven St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Series kicks off this weekend in Hamden!

The Save the Parade 5K is the first of three road races held throughout the year.

News 8’s Laura Hutchinson will be running that day, but walkers are welcome too!

The event starts at 9 a.m. on Sunday at the Farmington Canal Trail in Hamden.
